For the traveler that loves to experience nightlife in different cultures, finding the best spots for music, drinks, and entertainment is important. Sometimes, a search on Google isn’t enough to know what clubs or lounges will pop. And although the world loves to turn up to “Urban music”, finding parties that appeal to the hip hop & R&B lovers can be extremely difficult for globetrotters. Check out my top 5 Dubai clubs for black travelers who love nightlife.

VII

VII, located in the Conrad hotel in Dubai, is an artistic club/lounge that has hip hop and R&B on Monday’s and Thursday’s.
Featuring some of the best DJs from the UAE you can always count on the music to be on point. You can actually experience two Dj’s if you visit. One in the club and one in the lounge (where you can order food). This club made my faves list for its cute decor. You can party the night away AND grab some insta worth pics. This club stays open super late for those night owls that like to catch the sunrise after a night out.

Iโ€™m less of the โ€œletโ€™s go to the clubโ€friend and more of the โ€œLetโ€™s catch a flight!โ€ friend.โฃ Iโ€™m lying!! Iโ€™m both!!โฃ {๐’๐€๐•๐„ ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐‘๐„๐‚๐Ž๐Œ๐Œ๐„๐๐ƒ๐€๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐’ ๐Ž๐… ๐๐ˆ๐†๐‡๐“๐‹๐ˆ๐…๐„ ๐ˆ๐ ๐ƒ๐”๐๐€๐ˆ}โฃ โฃ Iโ€™ve always loved a good night out on the town. Like ALWAYS. And I especially started enjoying the scene more once I spread my wings and started traveling.โฃ โฃ Itโ€™s just something I love about partying with people from all around the world, vibing out, dancing and turning up.โฃ โฃ itโ€™s like turn up is an official language. And I speak it fluently. โฃ โฃ I know, I know, its not for everybodyโ€ฆand thats ok. But for those of you who it is for, allow me to share 5 of my favorite nightlife spots in Dubai for black travelers.โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ.) ๐•๐ˆ๐ˆโฃ Iโ€™ve visited @viidubai on a couple of occasions for their โ€œurbanโ€ nights. The music is always bumping and the vibes are cool. โฃ โฃ I really love them because of their decor. You can kick it at the club AND get some cute pictures for the โ€˜gram. DOUBLE WIN!โฃ โฃ Oh annnnd!!! THEY SERVE FOOD! Now I donโ€™t know about yโ€™all but turning up can work up quite the appetite so Iโ€™m stanning for any club I can hear good music AND eat! โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ.) ๐ƒ๐ซ๐š๐ขโ€™๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐œ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐›โฃ Like the famous club in Vegas Club Draiโ€™s in Dubai is just as lit. The open air concept is something I never experienced coming from a small town in North Carolina so a inside-outside party is pretty dope to me.โฃ โฃ @draisdxb is also one of my favorite venues because of the artist that they bring. Theyโ€™ve had some of the best performances from Big Sean, Nelly, Ace Hood, T-Pain, and so many more and most of the times ladies get in free. And if ya didnโ€™t know, FREE IS FOR ME!!โฃ โฃ Check out my stories and blog post (link in bio) for the rest of my faves list.โฃ โฃ Have you been out in Dubai? What were some of your fave nightlife spots?โฃ โฃ

One of my first club experiences in Dubai, Sensation holds a special spot in my heart. Sensation is an award-winning club & has been named as the best night in the heart of Sheikh Zayed Road. Spinning the hottest music for afrobeats and hip hop lovers on Monday & Friday, Sensation gets packed with a crowd every night. So be sure to arrive early, dress the part and get ready for a night to remember.

Dress Code: No white tees, no tank tops, no baggy wear, no excessive stained or patterned clothing, no flip flops, no backpacks, no offensive or novelty graphics, no hoodies, no flat brim hats, no work boots, no athletic apparel, no excessive or large jewelry, and appearance must be a well-groomed presence.

Operating Times: 10:00pm to 3:00am

Ladies Night: Saturday

BASE DUBAI

Located in the Dubai Design District, Base Dubai is a fairly new club in Dubai that also offers the open-air concept. Base offers a fun & unique experience raising the bar on the nightlife scene. Much more than a traditional nightlife venue, Base host some of the worldโ€™s top artists; paired with world-class shows and production. Thursday’s are focused on the best R&B and urban hits.

Dress Code: Base has a pretty casual dress code but if you want to guarantee getting in, it will be much better to dress nicely. Collared shirt / jeans / dress shoes for guys. Avoid anything that can be considered sportswear (track jackets, jerseys, sneakers, hats, etc).
Operating Times: 10:00pm to 4:00am

Ladies Night: Thursday

Tia’s Take

These 5 clubs are my go to’s when I’m in Dubai and looking for a good time and music that I love. Each club on my list is a repeat offender and one I would go back to time and time again. If you are in Dubai, check out the nightlife and let me know what you think.

As always

Until next time,
